Membership Application
The annual membership dues are $440; BIAC charges separately for the following:
- using BIAC shells ($300)
- using BIAC OCs and surfskis ($100); use of SUPs and kayaks is included in membership dues
- renting storage racks for a member's personal watercraft ($300 annually for a 1x/2x shell; $100 for a kayak, SUP or surfski), subject to availability; for more information contact our Yardmaster)
- coaching fees for rowing team members (collected separately)
- attending classes (prices vary by class)
As a nonprofit volunteer organization, BIAC depends on the contributions of time and energy from its members to maintain boats and the club premises. All annual adult memberships require a volunteer commitment of 12 hours per year. Members who cannot make this commitment can opt out up front by paying an additional annual fee of $250. You must indicate your preference on the Membership Application. Note that this requirement applies only to Annual Memberships. For more information on volunteering at BIAC, click here.
Masters can select a quarterly membership, which is valid for three months from the date of membership activation. This membership includes the use of BIAC equipment. College students attending school away from the area may select a "College Break" membership which includes summer breaks as well as other breaks throughout the year.
Please note that, per BIAC's By-Laws, membership dues are not refundable.
